Frequently asked questions
Everything students and parents ask before sending a request.
Who are the tutors and how are they vetted?
Tutora is a vetted tutor network. Every tutor is interviewed, their qualifications and subject knowledge are checked, and they are only matched to subjects and levels they can genuinely teach. We do not publish a tutor profile until we have worked with them.
How does matching work?
You send one request describing your subject, level and goal. We read it, choose the tutor whose background fits best, and reply with a suggested plan. If it is not the right fit, tell us and we will match you with someone else.
How quickly will you reply?
We reply within 24 hours. Requests sent late at night or over a weekend are answered the next working period. If your deadline is urgent, say so in your request and contact us on WhatsApp.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
No payment is taken on this website. We confirm scope and price with you first. Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, Card, Paypal, Crypto. No payment is taken on this website.
What formats do you offer?
Live one-on-one sessions online, recorded lessons you can revisit, and focused homework or assignment support. Tell us which suits you in the request form, and we will confirm what is possible for your subject.
Which subjects and levels do you cover?
Academic subjects from high school through university and professional qualifications, plus creative and technical skills such as CAD, Blender, Unity, Roblox, Godot and graphic design. The full list is on the subjects page.
Can I change tutors if it is not a good fit?
Yes. Tell us what is not working and we will match you with a different tutor. A good working relationship matters more to us than filling a slot.
How are my details used?
We use what you send only to answer your request and arrange tutoring. Your details are shared with the tutor assigned to you. Read the privacy policy for details on retention and how to ask us to delete your information.
Still unsure?
Send a request describing what you are working on and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
